 Welcome to Scheerer's Music Online
Orchestral>Rental Scheme
Why rent?
Understandably, parents may feel reluctant to purchase an instrument in the knowledge that
their child's interest in playing a musical instrument may just be a passing phase. Whilst
at the same time wondering if there is a musical talent which may remain undiscovered.
We also understand that increasingly hard-pressed school budgets don't always allow for
the provision of a musical instrument even though lessons may be available. You can give
your child the opportunity to develop and express their musical abilities for as little as
£15.00 for a three-month rental period. It was with this in mind that Scheerer's rental
scheme was born over 25 years ago.
This is how it works
The initial rental fee is paid to cover the first 3 months hire period at the end of which
the rental may be renewed. This option is offered at the end of each quarterly period.
At any stage after the second 3 months period the customer may purchase the instrument
less a 30% discount from the original cost price.
We can also arrange for this balance to be paid over 6 months by standing order, the first
payment due within one month of the rental expiry date.
Conditions:
| 1. |
The instrument
remains the property of John Scheerer & Sons Ltd for the
duration of the rental period. |
| 2. |
The hirer must
take reasonable steps to keep the instrument in good
condition and playing order. |
| 3. |
The hirer is
responsible for loss or damage. We therefore recommend that
the instrument be insured. |
| 4. |
Any loss or
damage must be reported as soon as possible. In the case of
theft a crime number must be obtained. |
| 5. |
During the hire
period the instrument must not be rehired, lent to a third
party, sold or in any way disposed of. |
